At Anglo Irish Bank you get great exposure to other professional industries and, as a result of this, your technical knowledge develops rapidly. Working as part of a lending team, I regularly get the opportunity to deal with solicitors, valuers and quantity surveyors, and have become much more confident discussing technical issues.
In the Bank there is great support for all employees; everybody is willing to go out of their way to help and offer advice. My manager dedicates a lot of his own time to helping with my personal development and always encourages me to come forward with any issues or questions. There is a very flat structure within the Bank, whether you are a director of the Bank or have just started your career, everybody is treated with respect and your skills are really appreciated.
Because you work hard as part of a tightly knit team, you invariably become friends with the people you work with. There’s a great social scene outside of work; events are organised regularly and you are well rewarded for all your hard work.
