I started my Graduate Development Programme at Anglo with a six-month placement in the Wealth Management Division of the Bank, working as part of a team providing lending and investment solutions to our high-net-worth clients.
In Wealth Management we assess our clients needs and put together appropriate investment solutions. I was intrigued by the range of investment solutions available.
As part of the Graduate Programme, I also spent time in Treasury, Commercial Lending and the Risk and Operations division. The prospect of seeing the Bank from all sides gave me a very clear understanding of how all divisions fit together.
Most recently I was given the chance to work in our Boston office. It was interesting for me to see first hand, how Anglo Irish Banks business model is growing in North America.
Friends often ask me what makes Anglo Irish Bank such a successful bank. Ive realised that its mainly down to the people. The Bank fosters a strong culture of teamwork and professionalism and senior people are always keen to help.
