Compensation and Benefits

Enjoy all-round rewards

We operate a meritocracy at Anglo Irish Bank. So you can be confident your talent and ability will be fairly rewarded. As well as a competitive starting salary and pay reviews, you can look forward to discretionary annual performance-related bonuses.

On top of that, our range of benefits includes everything from life assurance and an enhanced contributory pension scheme to private healthcare. Our active Sports and Social Clubs also offer a wealth of different activities to appeal to all sorts of interests.

What’s more, we believe our people should share in the Bank’s success. We’re proud to say that over 90% of our employees are Bank shareholders. And that’s not just because we operate a scheme that allows them to buy shares at discounted prices. It’s also because they believe in what they’re buying into.

However the rewards of working for us aren’t just financial. You’ll also be enriched by the culture you’ll experience here. We believe in open, honest communication – you’ll not only know how you’re doing, you’ll also be kept up to date with our performance and strategies. Equally, we’re committed to making sure our people are constantly stretched, supported and empowered – and that those with ambitions have every chance to get on.

Then there are all the opportunities you’ll have to give back. Our high standards of Corporate Social Responsibility show that how we do business matters enormously to us. At a corporate level, we operate to the spirit, and not just the letter, of regulations. We treat our suppliers with the same courtesy we show our clients. And we’re working hard to reduce our impact on the environment with a wide range of energy-saving initiatives.

We’re also active in the community. Indeed, our contributions here go way beyond the financial. Instead, our approach is firmly rooted in the generosity and commitment of our staff who are directly involved in selecting and raising funds for many of the projects we support. So like all the graduate recruits before you, you’ll have the chance to invest some of your time in a host of different community projects.

For instance, depending where you’re based, you might find yourself contributing to our mentoring programme in Dublin’s Warrenmount School by helping secondary pupils develop social, communication and workplace skills. Or, as we’re a member of the Business in the Community initiative in the UK, you could take part in a shared reading and numeracy programme in a primary school in London’s Tower Hamlets; or volunteer to go into a local school and spend a day gardening or painting.

Delivering practical help in this way is part and parcel of our culture – and an incredibly positive experience. We hope you’ll want to share it.
